The kids got this but we need your help!
First we showed everyone how to recycle at home, then we came to your work, and now...
this is our playground!
We're back again to teach all you adults a little something about recycling. But this time we're gonna do it on our turf, because this time, we're recycling at school!
You've all shown that you are keen to get involved so we're gonna make it really, really easy for you... Simply commit to recycling 1 piece of plastic as often as possible and we'll take care of it for you at school.
Just 1 piece - because one piece from everyone adds up to a lot of recycled material!

together, we made it a million plus!
We did it South Africa - we pledged to reach a million plus people with our message about being better at recycling for our future generations, and we did!
But it doesn't end there... everyone showed they are aware of the situation and showed their support and willingness to help. But it's time for action - and we're making it really easy:
Commit to recycling just one piece of plastic with us and we'll take care of it - at school.

Basically, we want to get rid of plastic waste in our environment and to make recycling the normal thing for every South African. And it's really easy, so easy in fact, even kids can do it.

questions
Follow these 5 steps – it’s super simple!
1. When you shop, choose items in packaging that shows that the packaging can be recycled. This can be in the form of a recycling symbol (a triangle created with an arrow) or it will say on the packaging ‘recyclable’ or ‘not recyclable’.
2. The key to home recycling is your storage and bin setup. You’ll need one bin for general household waste and then a bin or space where you can place your recycling bag. Or you can divide your current bin in to two, place your normal household waste in one side, and your recyclable waste on the other side. Here’s a video to show you how.
3. Rinse your used plastic packaging to remove food or drink from contaminating the recyclables. Remember to rinse them in used dishwashing water so that you don’t waste water.
4. Put your recyclables into a clear refuse bags; general household waste goes into the black bag.
5. Put your bags out on your curb on the days that your recycling service collects in your area or take your recyclables to the nearest recycling drop off point.
